Access by Design

Accessibility Statement

We are committed to creating a website that is welcoming, useful, and accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

Effective date: July 17, 2026

Dr. Kasandrea Sereno and Sereno Consulting Services LLC believe that good design should reduce barriers rather than create them. Accessibility is an ongoing part of our effort to build better systems, better experiences, and better outcomes.

Our Commitment

Digital experiences should work for people.

We are committed to improving the accessibility and usability of kasandreasereno.com for people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, learning, language, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We welcome feedback from people who encounter barriers so we can identify and address problems.

2. Accessibility standard

Our goal is to design, develop, and maintain this website in substantial alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

WCAG is an international accessibility standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative. It provides guidance for making web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

A goal of alignment does not mean that every page or third-party feature has been formally certified or will work perfectly with every assistive technology, configuration, or individual need.

Additional information about WCAG is available through the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative .

3. Measures we take

Accessibility efforts for this website include working to:

  • Use clear page structures and heading hierarchies
  • Provide meaningful alternative text for informative images
  • Maintain readable color contrast
  • Use descriptive link and button text
  • Support keyboard navigation
  • Provide visible keyboard focus indicators
  • Use form labels and understandable instructions
  • Avoid relying on color alone to communicate meaning
  • Create layouts that adapt to different screen sizes
  • Use plain language where reasonably possible
  • Review new content for common accessibility barriers
  • Improve identified problems as resources permit

4. Website accessibility features

The website is designed to support a range of browsing preferences and assistive technologies.

Readable content

Clear typography, spacing, headings, and content organization support easier reading and navigation.

Keyboard access

Interactive website elements are intended to remain usable without requiring a mouse.

Color contrast

Text and important controls are designed with contrast and visibility in mind.

Responsive layouts

Page layouts adapt across desktop, tablet, mobile, and enlarged browser views.

Browser zoom and operating-system display settings may also help visitors adjust text size, contrast, and other presentation preferences.

5. Known and potential limitations

Despite our efforts, some website content or functionality may not yet fully meet every accessibility need. Limitations may include:

  • Older documents or downloadable files
  • Content supplied by third parties
  • Embedded videos, maps, forms, or social-media content
  • Third-party scheduling or newsletter tools
  • Automatically generated captions or transcripts
  • Complex graphics that need expanded descriptions
  • Temporary issues introduced by software updates

Identifying a limitation does not mean it will remain unaddressed. We will evaluate reported barriers and work toward a reasonable solution.

6. Third-party platforms and content

This website may include or link to services we do not fully control, including Ivorey, Google, Amazon, video platforms, social networks, scheduling services, conference websites, and community platforms.

Third-party services have their own accessibility features, limitations, and support processes. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of content or functionality controlled by another provider.

If a third-party service creates a barrier, please contact us. When reasonably possible, we will help identify another way to access the relevant information or service.

7. Alternative formats and accommodations

If you cannot access an article, resource, downloadable document, form, video, or other website content, you may request the information in another reasonably available format.

When making a request, it is helpful to include:

  • The web address or title of the content
  • A brief description of the barrier
  • The format or accommodation that would be useful
  • Your preferred method of contact

We will review the request and make a reasonable effort to provide access or identify an alternative.

8. Browser and assistive-technology compatibility

The website is intended to work with current versions of widely used browsers, operating systems, mobile devices, screen readers, screen magnification tools, speech-input software, and keyboard navigation.

Older browsers, unsupported operating systems, unusual configurations, and some combinations of assistive technology may produce different results.

Keeping your browser and assistive technology updated may improve compatibility and security.

9. Assessment and ongoing improvement

Accessibility may be evaluated through a combination of design review, automated testing, keyboard testing, content review, and feedback from website visitors.

Automated tools can identify some accessibility problems, but they cannot identify every barrier or replace testing by people using different assistive technologies.

We intend to review accessibility when adding significant website features, templates, forms, downloads, or third-party services.

This statement may be updated as the website and its accessibility practices evolve.

10. Accessibility feedback and contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need content in another format, or have a suggestion for improving the website, please let us know.
